Meet Ricardo Avila, founder and CEO of Accumetra.

Rick has extensive experience leading the development of applied, customer-centric R&D in academic, government, and commercial settings including at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, GE Global Research, Kitware, and the US Department of Veterans Affairs. His main area of expertise is in the development of artificial intelligence/computer aided detection algorithms for early lung cancer and the quantitative measurement of lung nodule size change over time. Throughout his career, he has supported and contributed to several major open source software initiatives, including VTK and ITK.

Rick started Accumetra with the core belief that complex problems can — and should — be solved with simple, practical solutions.
